World number one and defending champion, Iga Swiatek of Poland, has eased into the women’s singles quarter-finals of the French Open at Roland Garros in Paris.
The four-time Grand Slam champion beat unseeded Anastasia Potapova of Russia 6-love, 6-love in the fourth round.
Swiatek will play fifth seed, Markéta Vondroušová of the Czech Republic, next.

Vondroušová recorded a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Olga Danilović of Serbia.
Also through to the quarter-finals is American third seed, Coco Gauff.
