Highlights in this week’s Science wrap:

Air quality improvements have been noted at a national level in South Africa.

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases has sent a second team of scientists to assist in the diagnosis and management of Ebola in Sierra Leone.

A German and two American scientists won the 2014 Nobel Prize for Chemistry on Wednesday for smashing the size barrier in optical microscopes.

World Space Week is an international event observed from October 4-10 annually. Various events were held this week to celebrate Wold Space Week.
