The City of Johannesburg is expected to experience a cold front coupled with extreme and cold wind temperatures this weekend.
Residents are urged to be extra cautious when using heating appliances to keep themselves warm.
Johannesburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi says, “We are urging our residents not to leave the heating devices unattended while in use so that we can be able to prevent fire incidents that might occur from our side as the City of Johannesburg. EMS will remain on high alert over the weekend to make sure that we can respond to all the emergencies that might occur in all seven regions of the city over the weekend.”
