The Spanish Sevens rugby side has beaten the Blitzboks for the first time ever. Spain defeated South Africa 12-5 in the ninth place, semi-final match at the Singapore leg of World Rugby’s Sevens Series.
Siviwe Soyizwapi scored the Blitzboks only try.

Earlier, the South Africans beat Ireland, also 12-5, in their quarter-final match for 9th place.
South Africa finished third in Pool A on Saturday, after losses to Australia and New Zealand in the group stages.
They only beat Hong Kong China 31-12 on day one.
The Cup final will be decided later on Sunday.
