The South African senior women’s football team has ended its short tour of Senegal on a winning note.
Banyana Banyana beat their hosts 2-nil in the second international friendly played at the Stade Lat Dior in Thies.
Amogelang Motau and Noxolo Cesane were on target for Banyana Banyana.
After playing to a disappointing one-all draw in the first match, coach Desiree Ellis made wholesale changes to her starting line-up and it paid dividends.
The two friendlies were in preparation for South Africa’s defence of their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title later this year.
South African national women’s football team coach Desiree Ellis is looking for a much-improved performance when Banyana Banyana plays Senegal in the second round of its international friendly match this evening.https://t.co/IQzkidRdvw
