DA leader Helen Zille and DA Gauteng premier candidate Musi Maimane are on a campaign trail in Soweto, south-west of Johannesburg.
They’re engaging residents of Zola on the DA’s offer to create jobs, end corruption and bring back good governance.
DA supporters dressed in blue are singing and dancing while their leaders Zille and Maimane are conducting door to door campaign.
Maimane says the community of Zola has many unemployed people and they want that to change by the creation of small businesses in the area.
Meanwhile, the residents here say this is for the first time the DA is showing their presence here and that this is just a ploy to rally for votes ahead of the upcoming May 7 general elections.
