100% votes in Mpumalanga tallied, ANC secures majority

One-hundred percent of the votes in Mpumalanga have been tallied. The African National Congress (ANC) has secured a majority with 51.15% in the provincial vote, the uMkhonto Wesizwe (MK) Party comes in second at 16.97%  and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is third at 13.87%.

ANC Chairperson in the province, Mandla Ndlovu says they are not happy with the outcome.

“We are not happy about the outcome but we appreciate the support that we received in the province. The results reflect the will of the people of Mpumalanga, we are accepting this result. We are going to constitute government on our own. We are happy that the people of Mpumalanga mandated the ANC to constitute government on our own, we are not going to look for partners.”
